Association business, real estate education and idea-sharing all part of the Sept. 7-11 big event

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Wayne Stroman of Stroman Realty in Conroe, TX attended the 2012 Texas REALTORS® Conference, September 7-11.

Shad Bogany, of Houston, was sworn in as the 2013 Texas Association of REALTORS® (TAR) chairman of the board. Dan Hatfield, Comfort, and Scott Kesner, El Paso, were installed as TAR’s 2013 chairman-elect and 2013 secretary/treasurer, respectively. Also, the Texas Association of REALTORS® regional vice presidents for 2013 were sworn in. All the 2013 officers and regional vice presidents assume their positions on Jan. 1.

The Texas Association of REALTORS® moves its largest annual event to different cities around the state, but San Antonio is a favorite destination. “This year’s big event in Texas real estate was full of learning, networking and idea-sharing,” Joe Stewart, 2012 chairman, said. “Texas REALTORS® love visiting San Antonio—it’s the perfect place to bring it all together.”

Virgil Trower, of Odessa, and Rob Rayner, of Denton, were presented with the Distinguished Service Award at the Board of Directors Meeting. This award is given annually to Texas REALTORS® who have made significant industry contributions throughout their careers and have also been active in community organizations.

During the International Forum, Stroman as Chairman of the Houston Association of REALTORS® signed cross-border, business-building partnership agreements with several Mexican cities’ representatives. These mutual International Cooperation Agreements signed with AMPI, Mexico’s real estate association, provide for cooperation and collaboration in real estate throughout the region.
